Privacy Policy

Most of what Suna knows about you never leaves your phone. There is no advertising, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind in this app.

The short version

You can browse, cook, plan meals and use the shopping list without an account.
An account is needed only to leave a review or to share a shopping list.
Your allergies, saved recipes, cupboard, meal plan and cooking history are stored on your device only. We never receive them.
We never sell your data. We do not share it with anyone, and there are no advertising or analytics services in the app.

What stays on your phone

These are written to your device's own storage and are never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Uninstalling the app deletes them.

Your meal plan
Which recipes you have cooked, and when
Units, theme and reminder settings
Your shopping list — unless you choose to share one with a household (below)

What we receive, and only if you ask us to

Your email address	Only if you create an account	To sign you in. We send a one-time code; there is no password.
A display name	Only if you set one	Shown beside your reviews. Optional.
Reviews: a rating, your notes, and a photo if you attach one	Only when you post a review	To show other cooks what you thought. These are public inside the app.
Shopping list items	Only if you join a household	So the people you live with see the same list.
Who you have blocked, and any reports you file	Only when you block or report	To hide that person from you, and to let us review what was reported.

What we never collect

No advertising identifiers, and no advertising.
No analytics of our own. We do not know which recipes you open.
No location.
No contacts, calendar, or files beyond a photo you deliberately attach to a review.
No push notification tokens. The daily reminder is scheduled by your phone itself and never reaches a server.

Who processes it

Data we do receive is stored with Supabase, which hosts our database and file storage on our behalf. Sign-in emails are delivered by our email provider. Neither uses your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Your account and reviews: until you delete them.
Shared shopping list items: crossed-off items are removed automatically after 30 days.
Reports: kept while the reported content is under review, then removed.

Deleting everything

In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account. This removes your account, your reviews, your photographs and everything attached to them, immediately and permanently. We keep no copy.

If you cannot open the app, use the deletion request page or email sunarecipes@gmail.com.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to sunarecipes@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days.

Children

Suna is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
